Yeah - It is odd. I have seen sites where it works fine for a while and then stops. On one of my sites, I have started FTP'ing images manually because even though the browser uploader works, the gallery manager does weird things to my images when I want to specify them as 97% of the width of my content column. So it is easier there to just do it the old fashioned way.

This is a case of if it isn't broke, why fix it? The image tool worked fine in older versions of WordPress. Why they felt they needed to change it, I don't understand!

Wow! this should help me if something goes wrong with the uploader anytime, but I have never seen such an error on my blog. I use the flash uploader. Just pray it'll be that ways at least until the bug is fixed !
